Hi,

Hi,
I’m currently trying out different styles of portrait photography, and love the high contrast look. Please have a look and let me know what you think?
The other weekend I did a mock photo shoot with friends I managed to talk into sitting for me. The breif was they wanted pictures of them in their favourite location. They had already booked in for a weekend at the Dunkenhaigh Hotel, and they asked me to join them there.
I had already been and stayed at the hotel and had some good ideas of where would make good locations for the shoot, and had a set of poses that I wanted to try. However, I did limit myself to 3 locations and five poses. It was a good thing I had back-up locations as on arriving at the venue I could see the piano had been removed, as this was one I had chosen I had others to fall back on.
Even though the couple were my best friends I felt fairly nervous as I was trying to conduct the shoot as I would envisage doing to paying clients. As we got into the shoot I think we both relaxed and I found it easier to direct them into poses I wanted to make. Some poses worked, but some certainly didn’t, and looking back at the images I certainly have picked up on what I would try and do differently in the future.
I would really appreciate it if you could have a look through the images below and give me your opinion of them, on how I could improve them and different techniques as well as post processing.
Many thanks!

Happy New Year!
Christmas seems like an eternity ago, along with day light! Since Christmas I don’t feel like I’ve seen any sun so I was ecstatic to find out it was going to be a bright, crisp weekend. When I found this out I knew I just had to grab my camera get outside. Below are some images I took around Salford Quays / Media City.
After I’d had a walk, I just had to stop off for a coffeeThis year I’ve challenged myself to a 366 Project. Basically I have to take and upload a photograph each day for a year. Please follow me at http://flic.kr/s/aHsjxKc61X , and any words of wisdom or advice would be appreciated!

Hi,
Here is another picture I took on a snowy Sunday morning a couple of weekends ago in Bacup. I think this has a real surreal quality to it, and looks fantastic in Black and White.
